Michigan Voter Information

I thought it would be handy to add some handy information about voting in Michigan.

The general election in Michigan is November 4th, 2014. The polls open at 7:00 AM and close at 8:00 PM.

The last day to register to vote in Michigan for the November 4th general election is October 6, 2014. If you’re unsure about your voter registration states, you can double-check here: Michigan Voter Information Center.

Michigan requires some form of voter ID at the polls, but if you don’t have one, you can sign an affidavit attesting to a lack of ID. More information about this can be found here: A Guide to Voter Identification at the Polls.

For more information about voting in Michigan, please visit the Michigan Secretary of State’s website Frequently Asked Questions.

If you’d like to register online for an absentee ballot in the Michigan general election, visit http://miabsentee.com/ for further details. It requires an accurate signature, so a device with touchscreen (iPad, tablet, smartphone) is required.
